The idea for WellnessFrenzy came when I found myself looking for wellness blogs that weren’t just geared toward eating right, but also addressed the many nuances of living with Type One Diabetes. There were many blogs I used, but none that I loved. None that felt like a community. At WellnessFrenzy I want to create a community where I don’t just share my own advice and experiences but invite experts in health and wellness. We’re in this together!

Being diagnosed with Type One Diabetes can be scary. I was diagnosed with Type One in my early 20s. Sure, it can be very demanding, but it forced me to look at life from a totally different perspective. By changing my lifestyle, I began to feel like I was the one in control, not the disease. I eat to live and enjoy life. At first, it will feel like another job. But when you incorporate healthy living into your daily life, it becomes the norm.
IT TAKES COMMITMENT
Too often, people put their health and wellness on the backburner, ignoring the signs that their bodies give them. We live in a society where we just don’t make our wellness a priority. We’re trying to change that. Wellness is a full-time commitment to the health of your mind and body. No matter what I do or where I am, I am always conscious of how my actions affect my wellness. That type of discipline is not something that happens overnight. But you will get there.
